"Ashlynn and the Bee"

Yesterday I had the privilege of watching Ashlynn in her first spelling bee. It was so neat! (I'm claiming parental bragging rights!) She was one of the top 8 out of about 75 first and second graders. She did really well and came in third! I am just so proud of her for working so hard and trying her best in all of her schoolwork. School is almost out (1 day left) and then we will begin our summer fun. It's been a long time since I haven't babysat during the summer, I'm not sure what we'll do, having everyday free; but I'm sure we'll find ways to fill them up. Today Ashlynn's class is having a "read-in"/summer b-day party and tomorrow is the last day of school and field day. Throughout the summer the school will be moving into their new building. It will be so awesome having so much more space. I really have to commend the teachers for doing such an amazing job with our kids in such a small space.

That is so awesome! Third place out of 75 kids, that is really impressive! Way to pass those smart genetics on!
